So I've installed OpenCart and everything looks fine when the default template is selected, but when I try new templates, that's where things fall apart.

I've uploaded two templates (Greenday and Moderno) but when I select them, they both make the page look as if the style sheet file can not be found. In looking around on here I'm thinking that it's because those two templates were not created for 1.4 and will not work. Is that the case? and if so, is there a fix or are there any places where I might find free templates created for OpenCart 1.4?

Thanks.

I'll have some free ones out tonight... probably day time your time. Go to sleep, they'll probably be there when you wake up.

I was just introduced to OpenCart the day the 1.4 release was out so I did not have the option to download the 1.3.4 release. I liked the style of the 1.3.4 template, where the home, special offers, basket and checkout links were all IN the menu bar not above it in tabs. Is there any way I can get that old 1.3.4 template? When I look in my "settings" under template, it has a picture of the default template (which is the old style template), but when selected it will only show the new template.

I really want the whole top area for my store logo. Can someone please help me or send me the old template with instructions on where to put it and how to install it? Thanks.

The 1.3.4 template is only for 1.3.4 or "below".
In 1.4.0 there is a new template introduced.

Hi. I just tried to order two templates and when I checked the box to accept the terms and conditions I got the following error--

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /home/ready7/public_html/shop/catalog/controller/checkout/confirm.php on line 155

Themes or Skins for v1.3.4 can be found at my webStudio, but do to TOS infringement by users I no longer offer any Skin or template free. The skins are cheep though. I'm going to wait for V1.4.1 to come out before I build skins or templates for it.

The problem is, because Daniel is developing opencart so fast almost every 2versions there is a new templateing system which makes any of the older templates worthless. Which makes it hard for people making templates to keep up with fresh original ideas, like my self. So alot of people are not bothering, or simply developing them for clients, so if you want any real quality your probably going to have to pay.
