Bulk Import/Export products and categories.

It would be really nice if we can achieve all the hard tasks via a single import using excel sheet or csv, currently you have to insert product by product, however we're trying to migrate over 1000 products from our previous cart to the opencart.

Please add this feature to the next releases.

I know there is an extension for that but it be nicer to have it built in.

This would be much helpful for multi vendor system also!!

Yes, Opencart need import add features by default. Would be nice if make a manual and automatic import for products and categories (it will be possible add manufacturers if they are not in DB) with csv or xml as source.
Have to take in consideration a bulk first import and a actualization import (based on date creation/modification of products)

This is the only thing holding me back, is that I'm spending hundreds of hours entering single products by hand from a spreadsheet. We are a bulk distributor of janitorial and medical disposables, and putting this online is cumbersome doing it product by product.

Yes, having to upload single products one by one, including their options and images, can be quite a daunting task.
