I have just upgraded my store from 1.5.4.1 to 1.5.5.1, and now I have a problem when I try to upload zip files in admin, it always error Invalid file type!
it is no problem when uploading another extensions files such as jpg, png, pdf, doc, etc, so the problem is only with zip extension, even it already added in "Allowed File Extensions" and "Allowed File Mime Types" settings.
I'm not sure it is a bugs or there is something that I missed, because when I try upload file in my another opencart site (version 1.5.4.1) and its in the same server, everythings is working fine.
then just to make sure, I also try fresh install 1.5.5.1 on my local computer and the upload problem still happen.
and today I also just got an email from my client that he have the same problem too.
anyone who know how to solve it, please help.

Hi,
Same issue for me. Unable to upload pdf and zip, even after changes in settings as mentionned above.
And no reaction on the forum about this. Bug or something we did wrong ?
If you found the solution please let me know.
Thanks
Fred

I have tried every thing that is posted here.
Yet, I am not able to upload a zip file using admin>catalog>download .
I can not do it from any browser.
We can upload using one of my colleagues PC, which means the opencart installation has no problem.
What could be the reason for my browser to tell me Invalid file type for only .zip files. It works with pdf and others.
Need help on this.

Sudhir

At the admin settings there is option to set any mime type allowed along with the various acceptable file extension formats.
