GZIP compression issue

Hi

The gzip compression in opencart (1.3.4) works great but has one problem that it doesnt compress the js and css files. I have confirmed this using http://www.seoconsultants.com/tools/compression.asp

Is there a way to do this? By the way, my hosting godaddy doesnt support mod_deflate.

typically js files are sourced from the packed or "min" versions. That includes the jquery script that comes with opencart
