(vers 1.5.4)( theme Floshop3 )
My "slideshow" is set to appear on my home page, but unfortunately, it ALSO appears in the middle of ALL of the "product" pages, too. I am using a "paid" theme template" but it also does it when I switch back to "default" theme.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.! Thank you.

It sounds like you need to properly set where the slider should show up. Go to extensions -> modules and click edit on the slideshow module. Look at the "Layout" option and make sure that it's set to "home"...if I was a betting man id say it's set to default.

Extensions / Modules / Slideshow at Layout / Home as well as Top/Bottom and Left/Right (Banners work similarly), then also under System you'll find Design and Layout with similar controls -- Banners and Slideshows may be set up as each other, in effect, so be sure that both places agree. And be sure you're resetting the correct one among the Slideshows and the Banners.

All set and thanks to you both.
Actually I did have the "Layout" option set to "home"... The problem was that I apparently had both the slideshow and banner enabled. I disabled the "banner" and seems fine. Thank you both again!

If it stays fixed (I don't see version above), then go ahead and add the version and mark your opening title Solved.

See it. If you add version and theme up there, then others will see what sort of setup the fix fixed.
