Hi guys,

Opencart Version 1.5.4
Clean Install

Just wondering, I'm looking at setting up a store as normal, however I want the order to be instead of having payment, I want the order to be sent to the store owner.

So the customer picks which items they want and add to cart. Fill in all their details, shipping address, ect. Then it gets sent to the store owner and they ring them and give them a quote on all items and shipping costs.

Reason for this is the store owner runs a rental/hire type business so they don't always have items in stock, also they set up the items so they need to quote on all this.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Or maybe something similar has been developed in the past?

Thanks in advance,

Best regards,

Rowan

Did you ever find a resolution to this? I'm looking for something similar.

Hey there, sorry for the long delay in replying.

Basically the way I achieved this was setting all products to 'free shipping' and 'free checkout'.

Then in the languages files, I changes it to say instead of 'Free Shipping' to something like 'Quote will be given in a reply' or something along those lines.

This was the simplest way to do this without really editing anything too complex.

Seems sensible. The only problem is that the checkout process is still quite long, if you only want a quote. Thanks for the pointer though!

Yeah, it's definitely not the desired process to go through.

Something to shorten it would be setting all products to not require shipping at all which would remove postage at checkout altogether.
