Why are there no admin reports for general stock, sku lists etc. Seems a rather big omission to OpenCart. We are building our store online so there are no sales yet. Don't seem to be any reports included to organize our uploaded info.
In admin , in the reports dropdown you can find all the built in opencart reports and they are quite extensive but if you men a report that would anounce you the products out of stock and with low stock , that isnt a default feature. However an extension that does that can be found in the opencart extension directory.
Thanks for the reply. I've reviewed the provided reports and the list looks good IF we were open. Right now we have been uploading products into the store and there seems no integrated reporting to help me print out inventory, sort by category, list sku etc. All of the reports in Admin appear to be based on Sale activity which we have none. Out of Stock and Low Stock isn't what I'm looking for here... simply a Shelf List for now, sorted by different variables.

I appreciate the plug for your extensions but every one of the reports in the link have the word Sales or Orders in them. I want a stock listing and my original post is about my thinking that it should be a basic canned report for a store. Since some companies have lots of inventory, a simple filter by category, dept. etc. should probably be included. Anyway, I'll just create one in Excel based on data exports. Thanks again.

I'd really like to be able to print out a stock inventory too (without being based on sales / orders).
Is there really nothing already within the basic Opencart framework that will allow for this to happen? If this is the case then it is a glaring oversight and should be amended in the next Opencart version.
The extension mentioned above will facilitate the product inventory, but to pay $25 for such a basic report, that should be available as a basic reporting option, is rather galling!
