Help me! which is the most stable version?

Hi, I am new and I would like to know which is the most stable version so far... I wanted to use the version 1.5.5.1 but I see it has many bugs.

i think 1.5.4.1 is most stable so far .. after instaliing check some confirmed bugs and fixes here http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=161&t=81219

I would use the latest version -- most bugs have been fixed, and it will make an easier upgrade path if plan on updating OpenCart in the future.

which latest version should I be using should I decide to upgrade from 1.5.4.1?

1) Download page - http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... d/download
or
2) Github - https://github.com/opencart/opencart/tree/master/upload

If github, am I supposed to download the zip version?

the first one ( it links to github 's 1.5.5.1 branch ), the second one (master branch ) is currently developing version and it is intended for developers only, not for shop owners.
