Hi all,

Thanks Daniel for all your hard work on this. I havent had a chance to play with it yet, but I want to stick in a wee 2 cents worth. Firstly I love the Wordpress template system, being able to make different page templates etc would be awesome for Opencart and I would love Opencart to follow the Wordpress way of templating.

I thought the new templating system was going to be more like the new Buddypress templating system using children etc. But from what Q and others are saying it doesnt sound too much like it?

ANyway dude keep up the good work and if you adopt the Worpdress style of templating I will back you 100% and will love you forever!! :o

Wordpress style of templating is very nice and simple.
But I think it's not MVC style.

Daniel, is it possible to use Wordpress style template in OpenCart?

I believe it got left out at the last minute due to problems, and I also I think I read that It won't be finished unless someone else wants to pick it up. What I haven't seen is where we can get the existing code to attempt to complete it.

I need a UPS account details.

Please PM me it if you have one.

I keep signing up with them but everytime they phone me up asking how many orders a day will i ship. When I tell them its for testing they tell me to sign up to something else.

Please PM me your UPS details if you have one and also FEDEX.

Great work Daniel.

Just read through this entire thread, suprized you didn't break down!

Havent had a chance to test the new version yet, though it seems a little extra work designing new templates I agree with the flexibility of it and can see that in the long-run it could be beneficial, fortunately I haven't made my templates public yet :)

Opencart templates coming soon!

This is an ongoing issue, still not fully resolved as of OpenCart 1.3.4.
