Current & hoping to be former Prestashop user here. Trying to migrate to opencart.

I am having trouble figuring out how to setup multi-store on multiple domains.

All domains are on the same server, but separate IP's. Each domain has its own cPanel account. I want each shop to have its own dedicated IP address and SSL certificate.

I have the following domains:
MainShop.com
domain2.com
domain3.com
domain4.com
domain5.com

I have read threads on setting up multistore, but they all describe using subdomains or addon domains.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Would this be possible if I somehow point each domain (?create a domain alias?) to the OpenCart installation.

Does anyone know how I can do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

After more research it looks like multi-shop with dedicated IP's could be accomplished by:

1. Manually assign IP addresses to each addon domain in one cPanel account through Apache.
http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/1 ... Subdomains
(It might have some drawbacks. I am not sure if one cPanel installation can support more than 1 SSL certificate. And when cPanel gets updated by the host, it could wipe out the dedicated IP's you have assigned.)

2. Use domain masking via .htaccess. Not quite sure how this could be done yet.

Anyone please feel free to chime in. Please!...
