SMS notification plugin for opencart 1.5.4.x

I want to integrate indian SMS gateway to our my opencart site(ver 1.5.4.1)
Attached is the API file for more information.

I want to send sms notifications to customer for :
- on registration on site
- on new order placed
- on order status changed

Opencart admin will have access to enable/disable these there functionality at store level.
Also Admin should be able set the message templates for each of the three types.

SMS can have variables like customer name , order ID, order total ,order date,order status and some static text.
Exception handling should be done so that there will be no error at store front if message send fails

i don't have experience in it. But, a year ago i have ever tryin to make a brand with sms gateway as the main service. I think make a converse through email is more convenient for us ...
