Hello All,

I'm a recent convert to OC from Prestashop and so far, much friendlier to use, maybe except for my particular shipping options.

I have products which depending on their weight can be shipped by Parcel Force, by a Lorry Pallet courier or by our own transport.

Shipping by weight and the relevant cost would be easy enough to set up except that the cost for delivery by ourselves and by pallet courier differs depending on the shipping zone in the UK i.e. the further away from us the more expensive.

I can see a way of doing it by setting up a geo zone for each county in the UK for each method of shipping and then setting up the weight and cost for each geo zone....but this is potentially hundreds and hundreds of typing inputs and lots and lots of time. This is where Prestashop does seem a little less work to set up.

Is there a straightforward extension at a reasonable cost that I could add that would simplify this task ?

Thanks
Mark

I am currently building a shipping method using Google Maps API to calculate driving distance.

Hello ppmkr,

That's very promising but as it is, it wouldn't work for me. I would need to be able to set which products we deliver and which products we choose to use another shipping method.

I'd need the ability to set as below for example.

Product A - customer 100 miles from base - own delivery X 0.00p per mile = cost

Product B - customer 100 miles from base - parcel courier X 0.00p per mile = cost
and have the ability to set by weight cost and choose which default delivery option the product must have

Product C - customer 100 miles from base - pallet lorry X 0.00p per mile = cost
and have the ability to set by weight cost and choose which default delivery option the product must have

Thanks
Mark

I added select cart content:
- All products
- Only selected
- All but selected

Test Extensions - Shipping - Delivery per product if it works for you ...

Hello ppkmr,

That looks like it will do the job, good work. Is the extension finished and bug free? Let me know how to get the module from you please.

Thanks, Mark

It was almost finished.

I added some more features.

- Add more than one courier
-- can have different addresses to start from
-- product selection / courier
-- base amount + costs / courier
-- Title / courier

Please look at the demo one more time.

Hello pprmkr,

It's getting better all the time, that is great work and will do exactly what I want. Just a question ?

I'd like to keep the shipping estimate during the checkout process, so customer can see shipping cost before deciding to purchase, will this extension work perfectly with the checkout shipping estimate ?

Thanks Mark

Now it does.

Added postcode to the destination string.

Only one thing left: adding a new module does not activate the autocomplete function.
Working on it.
