[vQmod] Enter Percentage for Discounts & Specials

If you want to be able to apply discounts & specials by percentage, this is a quick mod to allow it. This particular mod works by taking the percentage at the time of entry and converting it to a value when the save button is clicked.

Example:
If you have a product that is $125
and you want to give 10% off you can simply type "10%" in the discount/special price field. When you click save, it will convert it to $12.50. Then subtract that from the normal price. Making the Special price of 10% off of 125 = $112.50. The next time you edit that product, the special/discount will show "12.50". So the percentage is calculated at the time of saving. If you want to change it to 20% there, then just replace 12.50 with 20% and it will do it for you again.

My only problem is that:

How can i set the percentagles in bulk ? - Because i have 2000 products, and now i need set the one by one.

I need something like:

10pcs - 10%
20pcs - 20%
30pcs - 30%

for almost every products....

Can it make the percentage stay active, so that if the product price is changed, the discounts will automatically 'update' - not actually update, but remain a percentage of the price, no matter what the price is.

Not with this mod.. this was only a quick hack to allow you to enter it in percentages. When you click save it stores the data as the pre-calculated value. For something to store as the percentage, that requires a much larger job as other areas on both the admin and the catalog side for price calculations would need to change

Ok I did that, uploaded VQMOD to the root with 777 permissions. Went to the site /vqmod/install and it does not give any messages, error or otherwise. Nothing in the vqcache folder, either...

Turns out it already supports 2.3 and 3.0 so keep it going
