Deafult option radio button

Hi, I think it woold be useful if we could be able to set a default option to be used when displaying list or radio option in front-end. For example if I can set in Catalog->Options one of all to be used by default, then if that option is asigned to a product, it would be the default one to be used/selected as a choice in the front-end. If I don't have that default option asigned to a particular product I should be able to set another one as default, just for the current product only.
