Use a MD5 hash generator like http://gtools.org/tool/md5-hash-generator/ if you are using cPanel open phpmyadmin find the admin account password field copy the old hash to a text file just in case generate a new one with the hash generator copy & paste it in remembering what it was before you hashed it save or update the mysql file and then go back to opencart and login with the new paswword
This worked for me i was to lazy to re-upload the files all over again & reapply the mods etc
Hope this helps

Hi,
I would also do it the way digitalchaos describes. But if you have access to phpmyadmin you don't need any external md5 hash generator, just type the password you want in the password field in plain text and select "MD5" in the "function" field in front of the password field - save the changes and your done.

Leffe

Thanks Blueforce,
That worked like a charm. You seriously saved me from deleting my installation and having to re-install and configure my template and upload my products again.
