Can't add products

hey guys last night I updated from version 1.5.2.1 to 1.5.3.1 and now all of the sudden I cannot Insert new products or edit current ones, though I can still insert and edit my categories I seriously feel like hitting my head against a hard place right now so all help is gratefully received thank-you to all in advance

well, do you see any errors on the error log? Why can't you insert product? you need to be a little more specific.
