I have a customer who is currently using TradingEye who's charges are too high... they sell solid fuels charged at 5% VAT and compost, kindling, coal bunkers etc at 20% VAT also the deliver to certain postccodes as standard so no delivery charge is added but if someone up country orders say a ton of coal then they will want to add set postage costs.

This is already possible. You just need to set the tax classes appropriately.eddie_d wrote:solid fuels charged at 5% VAT and compost, kindling, coal bunkers etc at 20% VAT

- There is NO option to turn it off - It has to be wrote out or use a vqmod fix - the context is for a 1.6 Roadmap genius - 'that means In the future there will be' so wisecracks don't really have a place here do they ..... geezrph wrote:Then turn it off. Geez.

Category Product Count - Mark as No.
This works only for the menu, not for the subcategories listed in main content area. For that,
AP > Extensions > Modules > Category
and set Product Count as disabled.

Fantastic idea. Actually I was looking for this the first time I looked at OpenCart. And I can only agree.Xsecrets wrote:plugins should be at the minimum bundled up into one file with an admin control where you can browse that file and install it track what plugins are installed etc. If it can be made to link back to the extension store so the users don't have to download the extension first even better. ...
Then I just submitted a feature request for better product administration, too http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=110&t=69527 The system offer a lot of options, but then, having to find your way to where these options are being used, is very tedious and time consuming, opening a lot of individual pages and sub pages, one by one.
I think, that all would shoot OpenCart right to a front place!
Thank you for your consideration.
I can only agree!Iamdbat wrote:Thanks for the reply and I apologize for my aggressive approach - it's just born from frustration - you must be referring to 1.5.3.1 as I don't see those options in 1.5.2.1 - ... - THE BRIDGE BETWEEN REAL WORLD COMMERCE and Developers idea of it is a BIG ONE! Don't get me wrong OC is slick in appearance - lots of good modules out there too - but for every good module there are 10 bad ones and OC doesn't police this. There are also very bad developers taking custom projects on for people and not delivering - but charging in advance. I have been stung already! - 1.6 needs to do something radical with this cart and my suggestion is ARCHITECTURE - it seriously needs looking at.
Coming to add-ons, that's why I hold back from paying for add-ons. In fact, there are some developers, you need to "buy from their store" even the FREE modules but then you never hear from them. Never get a download link, nothing... how do you think I think about "Buying" from them..! I have no idea what they think but money doesn't just rain.
Hence, a developer review panel might be a good idea too and developer who want to "sell" their products, should need to have a security deposit in escrow with OpenCart for any disputes!
Mind you, I engaged "Companies" for some development, paid a lot of money in advance and never received a thing. We lost tens of thousands! Someone asking money in advance will not even get a handshake and goodbye any longer
Their should definitely be some sort of control panel for OC to get rid of the "fast and easy money maker developers" delivering only buggy add-on which in turn, falls back "Negative" on OpenCart as well. At the end, it's all revolving around OpenCart, and negative and angry clients will never post about "this" developer but about OpenCart! !! right? !!
Thanks

If the Facebook login to post reviews were just one of the options, and keep the current system of post, so i think its good too.keiron1992 wrote:I like these suggestions

Facebook comments are not indexed by google, while the current system is. Then, if you just use FB comments you will loose content that helps your SEO "score".
Another thing.. i will keeping looking about a extension/function to create surveys directly inside opencart to cross with customers / purchaces informations.. if there is (i didnt find yet) could some one alert me? Thanks, keep this good work for 1.6 guys!
Facebook comments and Facebook login to post reviews are 2 different things. e.g. Disqus and IntenseDebate allow Facebook login to post comments but both are indexed.luizeduardo wrote:Facebook comments are not indexed by google...if you just use FB comments you will loose content that helps your SEO "score".
The requested functionality simply increases credibility of the reviews by showing real name and photo of reviewer (and linking to profile page of reviewer). And it makes easier for customers already logged in to Facebook (a large and increasing number, especially in the West, especially among young people) to post comments.
Don't know of one that does that, but this one allows sending mails http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... ion_id=573luizeduardo wrote:i will keeping looking about a extension/function to create surveys directly inside opencart to cross with customers / purchaces informations

will add more. But overall, I am blow away by this all!
This is an area where other open-source options such as Magento or Jooma+Virtuemart have the advantage.
1. The ability to redeem vouchers or coupons at checkout. This is currently only able through a 3rd party mod, but it's almost impossible to find were to do it otherwise. In every webshop this is a standard feature, just not in opencart for some reason.
2. Dependent options. For smaller webshops this isn't a really big thing, but if the webshops grows it will soon become neccesary.
