Hi

I've set up 'paypal' as a payment module and it works great. Checkout works on the site takes you through to paypal where payment is processed correct then returns you to the 'success' page of the site with the confirmation.

My problem is that when paypal is used and order is not created on my admin section and I therefore don't get a confirmation when an order is placed no do I know what they have ordered.....?

Any idea how I can fix this?

thanks.

Sorry,

I think I should add...
Version: 1.2.9
I've tried changing from sale to authorize
tried deleting .co.uk from the store name incase paypal doesn't like it.

No luck

Hmmm,

I still have this same problem that it seems many others have.
I have now created a new database and uploaded a fresh 1.3.2 version i created a 1p product to test and exactly the same problem of no order in admin/customer account and hence no confirmation emails being sent out.

I dont knwo whats wrong :S My host justhost.com and I've submitted a ticket with them to see if they can tell me if it's something to do with their security tabs.....

The new store address is: www.dippo.co.uk/index.php

JustHost-

"You seem to be in need of enabling SSL for your account to allow PayPal working in proper way.
In this case log into Cpanel and gain dedicated IP and PrivateSSL services."

Do you think this is true? Seems to me like they just want extra $$$ as no card details are entered onto the site and all is on Paypal...surely this means I don't need SSL right?

OK, Sorry slight exaggeration maybe but i've read a few threads with the same issue.

Anyway I've contacted JustHost and they say cURL IS installed so again I dont know where to go on this now.
I guess I'm just going to have to live with a work round. i.e waiting for a paypal email confirmation and picking the orders up from 'missing orders'

what language are you using?

you don;t need ssl for paypal to work.

I dpon;t think you test the 1.3.2 properly aswell since when I view it it has an sql error. maybe you are using the old database with the3 latest version.

THanks for your continued support Daniel.

Instead of upgrading my old store I created a new database and user and uploaded a clean 1.3.2 install but this problem still persists. I noticed however that the template I was using was for an old version of opencart so I scrapped that and made my own for the current version. Paypal standard now displays the following error with the latestversion:
This recipient does not accept payments denominated in WS_Error_XClick_Pref_Foreign_Currency. Please contact the seller and ask him to update his payment receiving preferences to accept this currency."
My paypal settings are set to accept any currency and convert. I'm really confused as to why this is happening as the payment processed fine in 1.2.9

I'm using English language. I have never installed anything else.

These are the features of my OpenCart

if you have upgraded and used an old template from the previous version paypal will not work properly.

you need to copy the template files from the default template to which ever template you are using.

Hi Daniel:
Thanks for your quick response.
I tested the operation of the Standard Paypal payment module from a
OpenCart new installation of 1.3.2 without additional template, and unfortunately neither
work.
A few weeks ago I also wrote a thread mentioning some
details of the module with firebug. You can see the screenshot

Hi there!
I have the exact same problem: paypal payment works OK, but the order is not registered. Were you able to find out what was going on?
Thanks in advance for you help!
Rosario

I am also getting this with a 1.3.2 install.

Paypal Standard. It seems the IPN callback isn't happening correctly. We have curl installed and everything else is fine.

has anyone got an answer for this?

Hi people,
i am having the same problem as "dippo". It wont create an order, the payment will go through sandbox but no order confirmed. I have even used the patch by qphoria for 1.3.4 but this does not work.

Also i am also using justhost.com like dippo

would you be able to take a look at this Daniel please?
