Is there any way to change ?tracking=454bklvbgdkfh to ?r=454bklvbgdkfh in affiliate link without affecting the tracking results?
Thanks!
+1 for this post.
I'd like to take that a step further and remove the entire affiliate tracking query from the url once the cookie is dropped.
The user should NEVER see that in their url period.
Once the cookie from tracking is implemented how to strip that off the url and direct them to just the value in the route.
Ie: mysite.com/My-Product
as opposed to:
mysite.com/My-Product?tracking=1234567
This looks horrid for the customer, I'm working my butt of to try and figure out how to strip this off, and nothing is working.
Thanks for any help.

Hey Guys,
I have changed the tracking cookie code to 'tr' for one of my sites. I am not promising this is the best or only way to do it but I have been testing this on 1.5.2 and so far so good. The cookie is being tracked and appropriately assigned to affiliate sales. Please test before implementing on a live site!
If you want to change the 'tr' to something else just replace each instance of 'tr' to your code and also change the '&tr=' as well.
Hope it helps
