How to STOP orders per day / week?

OpenCart 1.5.1.3

Is there a way to limited the number of orders per account (or IP address) to only one per given time period (i.e. once per day/week)?

I dont believe there is one in core you might need to custom code it.

Is there a place for custom code request. My knowledge of PHP/MySQL is very basic.
