[1.5]PayPal Error When Using Discount Code

I also had this error on my cart 1.5.x. I edited pp_standard.tpl in /catalog/view/theme/default/template/payment/ and made a few changes. Paypal has stopped recognizing negative amounts for item prices (amount_x). Instead of that I check if the price for an item is negative, I insert discount_amount_cart instead. You won't be able to see the coupon name in Paypal receipt etc. but it's still better than not getting orders

A concrete solution will definitely be appreciated.

I have a file which is working, at least with coupon codes. It sends the total sale amount, rather than a line by line invoice. Message me and I will send you the file.

I'll be very grateful if you could explain me a bit more your fix. I tried to put the discount_amount_cart input but it seems that the discount is substracted to the shipping rate, which is very strange...

I also created a quick vqmod file for this as well so you don't have to change any core files, it's attached, thanks again.
