Is it possible to use multiple coupons for a single shopping session?

For instance, let's say you designated Coupon ABC to take 10% off of Item 123, but you also would like to offer a 5% coupon for the entire cart. Is it possible to use both?

Also, would there be a way to exclude Item 123 (mentioned above) from the any further deduction when the 5% cart coupon is used?

Possibly there could be an individual coupon box in the viewcart line item for Item 123, and the other items would not display any coupon box, but at the bottom of the checkout there would still be the general coupon box for any other coupons.

The idea is to allow you to target a particular item for discounting if coupon is used but not to designate that item as a "special"

Any idea on this?

If only multiple per-item coupons, that would be okay too, then we'd not offer per-cart coupons but only multiple per-item coupons

Item 123 - 10% off
Item 345 - 5% off
Item 567 - 8% off

And then each discount is displayed in the cart with a note under each respective item:

Item 123 - price $100.00 - 10% discount - subtotal for this item is $90.00 - saving $10.00
Item 345 - .......same kind of display
Item 567 - .......same kind of display

I'm in the same boat. Would like to know if this EXACT scenario is possible without a customer having to process two separate orders.

Not at this time. It was something I was supposed to add back in 1.4.x but never did... kinda fell off the radar.
Won't be there for 1.5.2 but maybe 1.5.3

Has the above ever resurfaced?? I'm on one of the latest opencarts 1.5.3.1 and I can see that only 1 coupon can be used at once. We have multiple offers on at a time, so has anyone managed to find a solution to this issue?? Cheers.

with a multi-coupon feature, would also be cool if specific coupons could be designated as automatically applied so that customers don't come back later and say 'hey, i want my discount', rather, they get a nice surprise up front that shows 'you got x for y% off, a for b$ off' when they add to cart and also displayed in the checkout, etc, this way, customer has an even better friendlier experience, inspires confidence, but some other coupons could be designated as customer-must-enter type of coupons for, say, targeted campaigns
