I would like to have 2 free shipping rules, each with different amount for US and International customers. For example, US customer free shipping if total amount is $50 and International customer free shipping if total amount is $75. Can someone shed some light on how to do this? Thanks.

With my zone plus module, you can range by subtotal per geozone and do something like:

<$50 = $10 shipping (Zone A)
>$50 = Free shipping (Zone A)

<$75 = $15 shipping (Zone B)
>$75 = Free shipping (Zone B)

You can also trigger by weight or item count as well as subtotal.

I don't want to open another topic for my request: is there any way of having free shipping based only on the chosen shipping method?

I have option 1 (cheaper) where I want free shipping to start from 200 ron.

I have option 2 where I want free shipping to start from 400 ron.

Q, the solution you mentioned above doesn't fit for me.

I'm using Open Cart 1.5.4.1 on http://www.importpieseauto.ro

Hey Lao,

Are you looking to charge shipping by subtotal? Is Option 1 referring to a zone?

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for. Could you provide a little more detail and I'll see if I can help.

I only sell in Romania. Shipping isn't based on zones, not even on weight.

I have 2 shipping rates: "Posta Romana" and "Urgent Curier".

"Posta Romana" = 15 ron
"Urgent Curier" = 20 ron.

Both regardless of weight or distance. It's the customer's choice whichever he/she chooses.

I would like to offer free shipping through (ONLY) "Posta Romana" if a customer reaches a minimum of 200 ron.
If the customer reaches 400 ron, he can choose free shipping between "Posta Romana" OR "Urgent Curier".

As I sit and think, 1.5.1.3 can't work with products priced above 400 ron for which I choose to tax shipping (even though the product would benefit from free shipping). From what I know there's no solution for this yet. I don't know why. because it worked perfect for 1.4.9.3

My original post fits just fine.
You simply need to add a new geozone called "Post Romana Free" and add the minimum of 200 in zone plus
Then add the geozone called "Urgent Curier Free" and add the minimum of 400 in zone plus
Additionally, to hide the paid shipping versions, set the max limit to 200 and 400 respectively on the paid options. This way you will only ever show 2 at a time, depending on the cart total.

Well, I got it tonight, but I can't seem to find out the way to hide the paid shipping versions. Where can I set the limits for each one?

Try this:

1. Create 4 geozones
- Posta Romana
- Urgent Curier
- Posta Romana (free)
- Urgent Curier (free)

2. Configure Zone Plus:
- Posta Romana
---- Rates: 200:15
---- Method: Subtotal
---- Calc: inc

- Urgent Curier
---- Rates: 200:20
---- Method: Subtotal
---- Calc: inc

- Posta Romana (Free) Rates:
---- Rates: 400:0
---- Method: Subtotal
---- Calc: dec

- Urgent Curier (Free) Rates:
---- Rates: 400:0
---- Method: Subtotal
---- Calc: dec

YES! Now working. I didn't understand that I had to put another 2 Geozones for the free versions. Now it's working as I wished. Thanks!

I guess this doesn't mess up the shipping code for Credit Europe payment, right?

Q, is there any way I can use the above for selected products for which I want to tax shipping, even if their' prices are above 400 lei (which is the free shipping limit)?
