I have OpenCart v1.4.9.3 with Import/Export module opencart-1-4-9-x-27-export-import
I can export the manually entered catalog from OpenCart, make changes to items and import the spreadsheet again and that works OK.
When I add new products to the spreadsheet and import that, the tools says "Success: You have successfully imported your categories and products!", but it creates no new records in the products table in the database, in the catalog ui or on the website. I seen no opencart or import/export related warnings or errors in the logs.
If it matters, I am using Google Docs as a spreadsheet software and saving as "Excel". Note this is working fine when I edit existing records in an export and re-import it.
I have attached an .xls file with a record from the spreadsheet i am trying to upload. Can anyone tell me what if anything is wrong with it?
thanks.

Hello,
I have that exact same problem, guess you're in the right forum.
I'm converting an old store inventory to opencart, hoping I can get it to work.
Does anybody know how to solve this?
Thanks,
Thom
By the way: I use the newest version of opencart (1.5.1.3)

Hi all,
I am also having exactly the same problem.
the file exports ok and then i add new products to the spreadsheet.
When i import it confirms it imported ok, however no new products are displayed.
Am i correct in thinking that you shouldnt create a product_id? as this maybe generated automatically?
Thanks
Rob
