I want a specific category to work as home. I can not just replace the logo link with myshop.com/category because I do not want people to be able to write myshop.com and get to something else. Is there a way to redirect myshop.com to myshop.com/category?
Edit: Improved title and description of the problem.

Rebecka went over to PrestaShop.
I used the following extension on a site to show a category on the home page:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... order=DESC
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... order=DESC
Thanks for the tip!
I try to install the module http://rupaknepali.com.np/one-category- ... ry/399.php but it does not work.
About this
Which group is it? Top Administrator already have access and modify permissions.
I have a custom theme. Should I have the files in my own theme and not in default? It is strange, however, because my theme is supposed to fall back on default ...

There are two groups; Demonstration and Top Administrator. Before you can actually start using the import you need to allow both access and modify permissions for module/categoryshow in the OpenCart admin panel under system->user->user groups

Yes, I have.
However, I am not sure how the module looks like. Will the home page look the same as when you visit a
category? Because I do not want a slideshow or that it only appears in a module such as Featured.
Are there any other way to do it? I want a specific category to work as home. I can not just replace the logo link with myshop.com/category because I do not want people to be able to write myshop.com and get to something else. Is there a way to redirect myshop.com to myshop.com/category?

Sorry but no, Category Wall is wrong. I do not want to show categories on the homepage, but only ONE category.
When you visit myshop.com it should look like as if you visit myshop.com/category. That is why I believe in redirect myshop.com to myshop.com/category but how do I do that?

Anyone?? Thanks..
SXGuy, Thanx for your reply. I tried the category wall, but that just
displays the category page. What I'm looking to do, and I believe the original
poster, Rebecka, wants, is to have a particular product page
(ie, product/product&product_id=58) be displayed as the
home page, instead of the actual stock home page. Rebecka was
thinking that it may have to be done through the ReDirect in the
htaccess, and I'm thinking the same. Do know if this is the
proper way to accomplish this and how to do it?
Thanks for your help..
