I'm using 1.5.1.3 and have a fresh install. I have finally gotten most all the coding as I would like. One last struggle..... (Well, then again, there's always a new issue that comes up....)

Above is a link to our giftshop. I added a background image, but then didn't like the image behind the product's text and information box so I colored the #content box with a similar solid color to nix the texture. That seems fine to me but the content inside the #content box has no padding. If I add padding, it makes no difference. The container padding must be getting overwritten somehow. I would like to move the text off the edge. Does anyone know how to get that to happen?
I also discovered that I have modified all the default template settings and now I wonder if that means everything gets overwritten when I upgrade some day?
Thanks!

Not sure why padding isn't working for you
I just added: padding:10px inside the #content rule and it worked
Your template will get overwritten on the next upgrade unless you rename the default folder to something else
When doing so, you will have to find/replace references to the default theme in your files to reference the new theme name
Then you can upload the default folder again
for your template, it only needs to contain changed files as it will fallback to the default theme on files that dont exist in the new folder.

I think my mistake was that I put a space between 10 and px..... or maybe 10 was so small that I didn't notice the change? Anyway, I made it 20 and it's just what I wanted. Also thanks for the tip about changing my folder name. I will need to do that for future upgrades.
