I'm testing 1.2 version on a 1.4.9.6 Opencart site, locally on wamp.
I think I did it everything is needed, but I can't see SEO url generated (Everything works, but with standard url and nothing written in category or product pages). Any clue?
Summarizing what I did:
1) install deadcow
2) rename .htaccess and adapting a bit for my subdomain, as below:
Options +FollowSymlinks
# Prevent Directoy listing
Options -Indexes
# Prevent Direct Access to files
<FilesMatch "\.(tpl|ini|log)">
Order deny,allow
Deny from all
</FilesMatch>
# SEO URL Settings
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /subdomain/
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^([^?]*) index.php?_route_=$1 [L,QSA]
3) Enable SEO URL in OC admin
4) Press GENERATE in deadcow module settings (with success result)
After these steps I expect at least to see generated SEO urls in category or products data but they are still blank, and so I can't see them in the browser too.
If I manually insert a SEO URL in a category or product data, it works.
Any suggestion? Something wrong?
thanks again,
regards,
M

thank you for your message. Actually I just solved... and it was my fault! Really trivial sorry... I just didn't press generate button on category but only on the other buttons!!!!!
Sorry for the inconvenience. Now it seems working fine!
thanks again for you useful work.

I check in the back end and the correct Keywords are assigned to the categories & subcats but when you hover over a category it shows an incorrect url, for example if you hover over "Laptops" it'll show "keyboard-2" even though the SEO Keyword is correct and shows "laptops".

But i have some problems:
I see double of product pages.
In category product page is http://somedomain.com/category1/category2/mygift/
In recommend block at home page: http://somedomain.com/mygift1/, http://somedomain.com/mygift2/
In manufacturers http://somedomain.com/manufacturer/mygift1/, http://somedomain.com/manufacturer/mygift2/
How can i solve the problem? The most correct solution is absolute url`s of product pages in categories.
http://somedomain.com/category1/category2/mygift/
If your concerns are about Google seeing different pages, don't worry, there is a canonical for that.

BTW the module is updated for those having buttons visibility problems.

My only concern is this one. If I add some new products or category, and I don't re-generate immediately the seo url, those categories and products are not accessible.
Is this normal? I would expect to have normal url for those ones up to the regeneration.
This is because I prefer not to regenerate each time I insert new products, but periodically.
Thanks in advance for your availability,
M
