I wasn't really suggesting you should, its just one of the possibilities of why it wasn't working. Very strange it's not showing up at all

if other vqmods are working on it, that shouldn't affect it

It's in Extensions->Modules. The only way for it to not show up in the list is if you didn't upload the file to the correct location.

Sorry, i should have been more precise.
I can see it in Extension > Modules . I have clicked on Install and I can get the edit button.
As per the image from the website, I suppose I will get a VQMod Manager UI once the module has been successfully installed? I am not able to see the interface.

I am new to opencart and I am confused as how to install this.

the readme states: "To install upload contents to the base of your store. No files are overwritten. VQMM is accessed in Admin under Extensions->Modules->VQMod Manager. Be sure to enable access/modify permissions to module/vqmod_manager under System->Users->User Groups->[User Group] as needed."

The folder extracted is called admin-if I install the admin folder in the base of my store wont it overwrite the current admin folder?

If you use a half decent FTP program, it will merge them rather than overwrite, and ask you if there are two files with the same name and path if you want to overwrite it. Filezilla is ideal for this IMO, it will not overwrite it

OK great-I use dreamweaver and always just assumed it overwrote everything.

Thank you,

What about having the VQMod Manager link added to the System Menu?

Here is a VQMod for it. Enjoy... ;D

The next VQMM version has a menu shortcut in it. I'll try to finally roll it out this weekend.

VQMM v1.0 is out. I've decided to hold off on a few of the more advanced features for now. It's also now hosted in the extension store because of size (link).

VQMod Manager v1.0 Change log:
  • Added VQMod scripts backup feature
  • Added user guide
  • Added success/error notification
  • Included VQMod script which adds VQMod Manager entry to Admin menu (Extensions->VQMod Manager)
  • Improved language localization for javascript warnings
  • Improved XHTML Strict compliance
  • Simplified language file loading
  • Fixed bug for invalid upload error warnings
  • Slight language rewording for clarity
  • White space cleanup

It looks like your error log is very large. You'll have to manually delete it by FTP.
