I know you can specify multiple columns in the menu. But I want to make something similar to this site http://www.deramores.com

Where my second level category forms column headers and then the third level are shown below these columns. I've played around with the code and have got it retrieving the 3 levels, I just can't work out how to format the unordered list, and whether I need any CSS changes too.

I'm using v1.5.1.1 and the site so far is at http://shop.mavis-crafts.com

I'd be grateful for any pointers.

Thanks,

Allen

you are definitely going to need to do css changes. There are going to be LOTS of changes that need to happen to make it work that way.

Are you even sure you made it pull the third level properly? I don't see a third level on your site.

The code to pull the third level is commented out at the moment as it doesn't display properly. I have tested that part and it works fine. I was just looking for some hints regarding the changes required. Is it all basically CSS change to format?

I have now updated my stylesheet and made the code changes. It's still not polished, but I'm getting there!

Looks good.
This mod is something that a quite a few people here have been looking for, myself included.
Any chance of sharing the code for the third category level?

Thanks

I have tweaked it a bit and now use version 1.5.5.1. It is now being used on the main site at http://www.mavis-crafts.com and has been working well for a long time.

If people are really interested I'll package up the changes as a mod and make it available. It can't be done as just a vqmod as a stylesheet changes are needed and these can't be done using vqmod (unless someone knows of a way).

Very nice!
I would very much like and be grateful to see your work. I actually spend hours going through extensions and pulling out hair to find something similar. Post her or PM. Best regards /tagetoft

This is wonderful. AllenConquest could you please share the steps to creating a menu like this. Much needed by quite a few people as you can see from the response!
