Internal Server Error RewriteRule ^sitemap.xml$ index.php?ro

I'm trying to make a URL Alias for this page in our site:

http://www.domainname.com/index.php?rou ... le_sitemap

Using this URL Alias

http://www.domainname.com/sitemap.xml

And I found out that I need to use this line of code in .htaccess

RewriteRule ^sitemap.xml$ index.php?route=feed/google_sitemap [L,QSA]

But after uploading the .htaccess, our site says "Internal Server Error"
.htaccess basic rules is enabled in our server.
I hope you could help us.

I've used your line of code. But still, it showed the same error.
As much as possible, I need to to use the URL Alias for our google sitemap.
