my problem with related product list - it seems broken.

In data tab, the quantity also can be set (eg 4).
does the total number of product appear will be (the total at data tab (eg 4) or all together (eg 4 + black 2 + brown 1 = 7).

for your mail problems you need to contact your host about setting the mail settings up in the php config.

Question I must ask though is where can I set the Order ID? There is no such field under Settings

A missing order is an order which was not completed - correct.
But now (with a original, not modified OC 1.5.0.5 installation) I will get many 'missing orders'.
Why?
Because everytime the customer has choosen his payment method, the order is stored in the database.
But at the final view (Confirm Order) he sees that he forgot something (he wants to add another item to the basket or in-/decrease the quantity) or he is not satisfied with the final price (or any other reason ..).
He now wants to change something in his basket and go again through the whole checkout.
And now the next order (with new id) will be added to the database.
This cannot be a 'missing order' (because no confirmation was made) - but it is.
Why??

The way how OC works now many 'missing oders' will be added to the system
If someone wants to spite you, he has only to fill baskets but never confirm them -> result = many, many 'missing orders'.
Should'nt the order be added to the database not earlier than the 'Confirm Order' button is clicked?
But maybe I am wrong.

seriously are you people coders or not?
seems a bit of a joke the same people with little experience of coding shopping carts keep bring this up.
how do you expect to go through a list of all your payments and match them to payment made in your payment gateway. you need the order id passed to the gateway. the gateway needs to use this to contact your site to confirm payment.
this is how shopping carts work. don't use opencart if you don't like this because i am not going to change it. i'm not going to be told by a 2 people who don't have a clue what they are talking about.
QNAP, you have been a member for a long time. you should know this already. this is not the first time you have reported this as a bug. i'm sure youi have read my anwsers when you have reported this in the past. this is why i deleted your post.
OSWorX, you seem to have created a lot of modules on your your site and as a coder you should realise that the customer order is going to get wiped out if the callback from the payment gateway does not reach the store or the customer starts clicking his back button and change addresses or adding new stuff to his cart. you would still end up with order ids missing.
you can not also use MAX(order_id) + 1 because if yiou have 2 people checking out at the same time one of the orders will get lost.

If I didnt know how many people behind opencart biuld, I would have guessed at lest 10 people.
Most people don't know that with a free open source applications they really need to have lots and lots of patients.

There are Products and Product Options. They both have a "Quantity" field and a "Decrease Stock" option.
When "Decrease Stock" is set to "Yes" when someone purchases a Product then the quantity is decreased. If someone same purchases a Product with a Product Option, then both the Product quantity and the Product Option quantity is decreased. If the cart quantity for the Product exceeds that of the actual Product quantity an error is generated for the user. If the cart quantity for the Product with a Product Option exceeds that of the Product Quantity or the Product Option quantity an error is generated for the user. No surprises there.
When the "Decrease Stock" option is set to "No" things aren't quite as simple so I'll give an example.
Product "A" - quantity 2
Optional Product Option "Z" - quantity 1
Cart 1:
1xA + 1xZ = OK
Cart 2:
2xA = OK
Cart 3:
3xA = Out of Stock (A cart quantity exceeds A quantity)
Cart 4:
2xA + 2xZ = OK (Even though the Z cart quantity exceeds Z quantity)
Do you see that when "Decrease Stock" is set to "No" Products check whether there is enough inventory and Product Options ignore inventory?

Ok, I did as you sugessted and works fine but once again, I added a col_right info and the banner shows over content and this is wrong to me. Where the CSS is changed dinamically? I mean for example module Latest and so others show at home autoresize if columns content are setup, I want the same functionallity with home banner or slideshow. this will never happen. you need to figure out what you want the layout to be and set your slideshow images accordingly. Even if you did change the CSS it wouldn't matter since an image overrides css and stretches the container. actually abandoned order is not the correct term either, because the order very well could have been completed just under another order_id if the person had to change their address or decided to add something to or remove something from the order, though I suppose it's closer than missing order.QNAP wrote:i2Paq
