If you want a forum/discussion board/support board on your OpenCart website but you don't feel like spending the time to skin one of the more traditional options to match the rest of your store (as you would with phpBB, MyBB, SMF, etc.), you can use Vanilla Forums. They have a forum embed addon where you just copy one line of javascript into any html or php page and voila, instant forum on your OpenCart website. You keep the same header and footer as your OpenCart site, only the content area displays your forum.
Step 1 - Upload and install vanilla forum in a separate directory (ex. root/vanilla)
Step 2 - Create a new webpage on your OpenCart site. You can use an extension to do this like Q's CMS mod or one of the various news/information mods out there.
Step 3 - Copy the javascript embed code from Vanilla Forums into your newly created OpenCart webpage.
Step 4- There is no step four. Your forum is ready to go!
