I have altered the latest version to use a multiple template system again.

The problem I found with the old version is that most web sites would only ever need one template.

The reason I have put it back is so that when people upgrade they don't lose the any cutomisation on their template files.

I think everyone on the face of the earth want a template select.. its just one of those must-have features. Even tho you are sorta right, most people would only have 1 template. But people just come to expect the functionality.

That sounds great! OpenCart is a web application and the web is very visual so like Qphoria says, it's a "must-have" even if most people will only use one template.

I'd agree, it's a major reason why Joomla took off in a big way. The ability to re-skin a site quite easily is very appealing. As an aside, OpenCart is remarkably well positioned to take the lead as the premiere shopping cart on the strength of flexibility and speed.
