Fixed Coupon Not Working

Hi there,

I have used percentage coupons forever, and they work beautifully. For a new campaign I'd now like to use fixed amount coupons and have entered and tested them. Here is what I did:

Coupon name, description and code all "test123"
Type set to "Fixed amount" in drop-down
Discount "10.00"
Total amount left blank (auto-enters "0.0000")
Customer login "No"
Free shipping "No"
Applies to all products
Start date "3/10/2011"
End date "3/31/2011"
Uses per coupon "25"
Uses per customer "25"
Status "Enabled"

The result is a complete disaster... I added three products of $8.50 each to the cart (total $25.50) and applied the coupon. It deducted -$40.40 and keept going up as I added more products. Any ideas?
