Actually on the latest version of this itemized patch. I am not recieving any emails at all and all orders are going missing... I am on one version back and its working well. I have very long product names sometimes, and long model numbers. Maybe this is why its not working well :S Anyway, hopefully you can fix the tax on shipping (if tax is set for that particular chosen shipping method) thanks!

whats odd is that the code has never changed since 1.3.2. I will take a closer look at the tax bit. Thanks for the info

Sorry to sound like a total idiot, and to make you repeat yourself, but I'm having the problem outlined below and I'm not sure which patch or set of instructions I should be following.
  • I'm using v1.3.4
  • I'm using PayPal Standard (i.e. no monthly payments)
  • When I check out using PayPal (Sandbox test address), the payment is processed and I return to the store but the order is not listed in the customer's Account History page
  • The order is not listed for admin unless I filter by "Missing Orders"
  • In my database, the order_status is set to 0
  • Other payment methods (e.g. Bank Transfer) work successfully
  • I've submitted PayPal Sandbox orders on other websites based on v1.3.4 and have had no issues with the orders being displayed (however I cannot remember whether I tested using the same details, .e.g. first name, address etc)
  • My surname is O'Neill (saw something mentioned about PayPal not recognising some characters properly)
So my question is this: What do I need to do to fix the problem?

GIve up on sandbox like the rest of us have. It works in live mode, that is all that matters

I implemented the code, and my orders successfully work.

Although i receive an email "ATTN: Unverified Paypal order sales@angrypear.co.uk"

My domain is sales@dp-fashion.co.uk

Why is sales@angrypear.co.uk coming up? Also how do i fix this.

The error you get is when the paypal verification step cannot automatically verify the payment. It sends out an alert so that you can do it.

"ATTN: Unverified Paypal order" and it sends to the store owner email

if using 1.4.8 or 1.4.8b, use the new paypal extension preview that will be in 1.4.9

Sorry to bring this topic back from the dead, but on one of my stores (v1.3.4) some orders are still going into the "Missing orders" section without being notified via email. Understandably the client isn't particularly happy about this, but I really don't want to upgrade the store given that I only set it up six months ago, it's heavily customised, and no doubt the products/other info would not easily migrate to the new version.

Is there anything further I can do (aside from the steps in this topic) to fix the problem?

You can try the "paypal itemized patch" that I released (search for that exact title) and see if that works for you

This is no longer valid (or supported) since 1.4.9.x came out and has a completely redone paypal module. You can get it here if using 1.4.8 or later:

I've read through a couple of "No Order" threads, but most seem to say that it's all working in 1.4.9+. I'm having the problem still:

Version 1.4.9.3
Paypal Standard, live (not test mode)
Completed order as customer
Order only shows in the admin section if filtered by Missing Orders
Staging site at http://opencart.benv.us

Anyone have a solution? We're literally just trying to have a website we're people can buy stuff. Whether that's Google Checkout, Paypal, or whatever. If we can't get a single payment method working obviously we can't use OpenCart.
