no I haven't seen any ticket system mods, and actually I think this is the first request I've seen for one, but it's not a bad idea I suppose.

I haven't seen the request for this yet, but I did have a conversation about it.

I also came to the conclusion that osticket would be a good candidate.
Other possibilities are vtiger or sugarcrm.

Has anybody seen a MVC opensource version yet?

@ functionality
What do you expect the ticket system to do?
Act as only a helpdesk or some type of deeper integration?

Any other ideas?

ticket system for support and I think its the best when get email to some email like support @ the domain .com to be in the ticket system.

It would be great if it possible to integrate any of those open source ticket systems that allowing to do that.

Looks like we (literal sense, since I haven't added anything yet) are talking about two different things here. And the OP was not totally clear on just what was meant.

To me a "ticket system" would more accurately be called a "help desk". I would love one of them, either included (naturally, as I'm cheap), or as a paid for mod.

Then there is selling tickets for events, something I know nothing about and don't care to learn, but it seems that may have been how this thread was taken.

If "ticket system" means "help desk", I'm all for it. Nothing against OSticket and such, but many of the stand-alone systems are overkill for most shopping cart sites where they are not using 14 techs in 4 divisions, etc.

Simple help desk, with maybe a knowledge base, number the request and keep a log of the conversations in a string.

OSTickets does a great job, but its limited. Of course it would be great to see Ticket system like OStickets integrated within opencart with an RMA system. But thats all complicated.

How is OSTickets limited and if so do you know of another opensource system that does not start to enter the sugar/vtiger world.

RMA is actually another issue that would be good to have another thread for since opencart could use one.

What kind of features exactly are you looking for? I'm working on a ticket system/help desk.

I'm online from my phone, but I can share more info soon.

I hope the developer will consider an RMA system as well... http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=110&t=26687

That last post looks like a link to "hesk" uploaded to a subdomain called helpdesk. I'll be working on complete opencart integration of helpdesk functionality for my laser printer sales and service website. I'll keep you posted.

I gave up on the Maian after just a day or two and went to HESK, much better.

I simply edited the Contacts page so that the name and address, etc. shows, but no email. Just a link to the helpdesk, so everything comes in as a ticket.

Except for the template / design difference, it works just great.

Here's a look at the contact page - http://wholesale-district.com/dropship/ ... on/contact
