Hi, I would like to know how to do qty discount for a range.
i.e. qty Price
0-100 - $4
101-200 $3
201-300 $2

I've tired the discount function, somehow it does not reflect the qty range. Pls advise. Thanks!

im only guessing as just reading up on that myself

go to product, and options, add option, call it like 0-100 price, in the price leave empty, as will be the same as what u have already,

add another but when you add how many or something put 101-200 and then - £1 in the price part,

if you get my meaning

No, you're best to use the Discount area.

The first 100 will be normal price - $4.

Add a discount for 101 - price $3,
And add another discount for 201 - price $2

In the admin section, click on Edit on your product, then it's under the Discount Tab.

Thanks for the help but I've tried it many times.
Apparently the display screen doesnt reflect the range (i.e if i input my range as 101-200, only 200 is reflected).
Not sure if you get what I mean?

you don't enter a range into the qty field in the discounts section. you simply enter the qty at which the next discount takes affect and the system will build the range for you.
so in your situation you would have your regular price then you would have the first discount price with 101 and then you would add another discount price with 201 and the system will automatically build the table 0-100 regular price 101-200 first discount price 201 or more second discount price. you can keep entering as many as you want to add more ranges.

Hi,
The product page on the frontend does not reflect the discount range (i.e if u input range as 101-200, only 200 is reflected).
I have implemented a solution to display the discount in range(eg: 101-200) in version 1.3.4.
To do so u have to make some changes at frontend and backend.

Backend Changes:
1) Add a field named Order Quantity in discount under products.
here u will enter the text which u want to display as range at the frontend product page. Rest of the working will remain the same.

Frontend Changes:
2)On the product page, display the value of newly added field Order Quantity instead of Quantity.

u can see the attached pics for reference.

Hope this will help you.

still over my head lol

i wanna offer a few products only on discount, and want to do it by meters

example

i charge users for stickers on what i can get on meters, so i would like to offer something like this:

1 meter £20

5 meters £75

10 meters £100

That sounds like you should use options instead of discounts - that's like selling a T-Shirt in S, M and L

Just make your product cost £20 and an option: Metres

Then set the values as 1, 5 +£55, 10 +£80

Well, what you really want is

32-47 $2.30
48-95 $2.09
96+ $1.92

as that's how it works. All those before 32 are priced at the normal price for the product.

Let me look into and get back to you - shouldn't be too difficult.

I also need this for 1.4.9.3. We've gotten calls from people who think they can only order 8 feet of something because our discount table says
2 $4
5 $3
8 $2

They need to see
2-4 $4
5-7 $3
8+ $2
or they just don't seem to get it.

Thanks
