Has anyone looked at The Find's product feed? I tired to upload mine via the Google Base feed that OC supplies, since The Find has a dropdown for Googlebase, but it threw a ton of errors. I'm using Jay's Google Base Improved extension from here.

The Find is a great way to help get your products out there. Plus they supply a selection of various badges to add to your site. Maybe we will get a new feed from this idea!

Here's the link to their formatting and such about their product feeds.

Cheers!

Can't find any good info on that page about their product feeds, can you send a link to your google base feed?

Documentation: OpenCart User Guide

I'm currently working on a TheFind product feed, but am also getting those errors (even with their own formatting). I'm not quite sure what's going on, but I'll be working on it. I'll let you know if I'm able to work out the bugs.

have to say, the documentation is awkward to find to say the least, and they only accept a csv file for their own feed format. Very poor in my opinion

Yeah, I can't really figure it out. My feed format is exactly as they've specified, and I'm still getting errors. I'll e-mail their merchant support, but I'm not optimistic about a quick response.

Did anyone figure out about this feed and how to make it work properly?

I think I've gotten it working, I'm just letting it run for a few days to make sure it's working properly. I'll post again here when I've put it up for release.

Well I got a good laugh out of the last email from The Find!

Feed Format: googlebase
File Type: xml
Notification: always
Upload Method: scheduled

Feed processed on 2010-12-08 at 12:26:48

575 products extracted from the feed.

There were 191 Errors

Since I only have 51 products in the store, I think there are a lot more than 191 error! lol More like 715 errors!

Any luck from hearing back from their support?

Yeah, one time it told me I had uploaded 1700 products (reality: 220).

I was actually pleasantly surprised by their support. I heard back from them with an actual answer to my question (not just a template e-mail) within a day or two. I thought that was quite impressive for a free merchant program.

I should have this pulled together and ready to go sometime this weekend.

OK, I've finished putting together the feed extension. You can get it here:

TheFind Product Feed

It creates a product feed using TheFind's product specifications, filling in as many fields as possible using the OpenCart product data. It is compatible with versions 1.4.7 through 1.4.9.2, and includes instructions on what settings to choose in TheFind's Merchant Center.

After a month of testing and revising, my own feed has run for about two weeks now without any errors. Let me know if anybody has any problems with it.
