Careful with the The Import/Export Tool

I just installed the free The Import/Export Tool on OpenCart Version 1.4.9.1.

All appeared to be going well and I was pleasantly surprised to see the list of products in an excel file. Unfortunately though after I made a couple of text changes to some products within the excel file and imported the same file back into Opencart I just kissed adios to all my custom options on all the products. All the fields are now empty. Bit gutted but not the end of the world.

Is this a know bug because it should be.

what "custom options" ? The import/export tool supports all the base options that come with opencart

I meant the dropdown lists that I made. Many were quite lengthy to include photograph print sizes, canvas sizes and several other lists but after trying out the export process and then importing the list back in I lost the lot. Everything else to do with the product was there, but none of the options at all even though I could still see them in the spreadsheet. I'm using office 2007 and the latest OC download.
