Have been playing with phpBB but obvious problem is need for client to log in again (and that seems to be one step too far!), so something like your demo would fit the bill for me perfectly.
Can't wait

Went to your site but couldn't see any link for OpenCart forum progress. Is there a link I am not noticing?
How's it going???

Who did the integration? Is it a full integration with one user login or does the user have to login twice? I am curious to know if the integration was done correctly with a bridge or if it was hacked together. Not that it makes a difference because I am still going to build a custom forums system for OpenCart.

More importantly, how does it work?Klimskady wrote:Is it a free contribution? If not how much do you charge for such a feature.
Does this integration allow for the user to register only once in the store and to have those credentials recognized by the forum? Or, does it require a user to register and log in once in the store and again on the forum, much like the loose integration we already have here at opencart.com?
If a user visits the forum and tries to do something that requires logging in, will the forum module properly refer the user to the store's login process? What about a totally new customer? If that person starts out in the forum and wishes to make his/her first posting, will that person be seamlessly redirected to the store's registration process and then returned to the forum to continue?
Integration to this level, though very desirable, is very tedious to perform. This is why there are no off-the-shelf solutions available yet. Maybe OSWorX has one ... we can always hope.

I have contacted OSWorX but he said no session integration(NO SSO)..... I think it will be quite strange if a loose integration is done. There will be two login links, one in the header of opencart and the other for the forum. Visitors will surely get confused about the login issue.
Have anyone check the vanilla ProxyConnect addon? theoretically, this addon can integrate vanilla with any application. Of course, single sign on integration.
This documentation explains how it works:

He charges about 30 euros for loosely integrating your site with phpbb3. No single sign on(session integration).Klimskady wrote:Is it a free contribution? If not how much do you charge for such a feature.OSWorX wrote:Yes .. it's meMrSmileyJr wrote:is osworks a user on this forum?

2. No one has to pay me if he do not want
3. We spoke always about an integration of a phpBB forum - not any other
4. Custom development can be made at any time - after an explicit order (and upfront payment) was made
Do not tell me what I have not said.

This is the quote that prompted my last posting. I understand completely the immensity of trying to properly integrate phpBB with OpenCart's php engine. It is just that The Alchemist claimed having been integrated, and OSworX said nothing until today to dispel that assertion. The Alchemist wrote:Contact OSworks
He did it for me
