In the English language file account_download.php line 9 is filled by $_['text_remaining']  = 'Remaining:';
In the correlating German language file there are the following two lines:

line 09: $_['text_max_days']  = 'Max. Tage:';
line 10: $_['text_max_count']  = 'Max. Ladevorgänge:';

I consider this split better than only using that one from the English file. Nevertheless on the relating German customer-downloads-page is only displayed: text_remaining (plus the number of remaining downloads). That is supposedly not what was intended ...?

On the admin-pages I did not find a settings-option to set the expire-time which is indicated by these two variables in the German lang-file. Why?

After looking at the partially completed entries for german language in OpenCart, we realize that nobody on the team speaks german well enough to properly support the language as part of the core.

So we are actually going to be supporting only english officially, and uploading the german language (in it's current form) to the contributions page. Here it can be better supported by the community of those that speak & type it better.

As far as using text_remaining vs text_max_days/text_max_count. Can you explain what the usage of these values are?
Remaining would be how many are left

Max Days would be how long
and Max Count would be.... well maybe either Remaining or total downloaded.

Once the crontrib is ready, we will be looking for a German speaking developer to maintain it.

I am currently working on the language files (there are some inconsistencies between English and German. As far as the language-handling is working correctly I will check if it works correctly and can then pass the files over to you, for having them packaged.

I don't know either, since these variables were in the German verions of that file. I did not find the respective counterpart in the English file, that is why I thought these variables are to be implemented instead of the variable "text_remaining". Don't know why they were there and who inserted them ... Maybe some kind of "wishful thinking" by the former language-file-editor ... :-)

Anyway: Having both values (time and number) would be better than only have the restricted the remaining number of downloads.

We are no longer directly supporting the German language contrib. Feel free to provide updates to the contrib though.

No further action is required from us on this.

We also have no idea of the intentions of those new entries, and it seems that although you think they are better, you don't really know how they were to be used either so we are just going to leave it as is.
