Please could someone point me in the right direction for changing certain colours in the stylesheet.css as I have forgotten how I did it before.

I need to know where in the stylesheet.css is the section for changing the colours for:

the text inside the drop down menu's including the currency and the language
the grey text on the page (in the facebook like box section on the right hand side of my site)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Sarah,
maybe the best way is if you download and install the "Firebug" extension for Firefox,
you can find it in the Firefox extensions page.
Once you have installed simply rigth click in any element to know the style and line exactly of the style is located.

Actually the text in the drop down is browser specific and it will use what ever the person has for there browsers styles. So firebug would not actually help here.

Hi Jason,
the dropdown (select) native of browser are brands and maybe others,
but the dropdown of currencies and languages is pure css and js (i dont see in the Sarah site).

Your right I was under the impression that it was the categories.
To fix this issue try line 239

Code: Select all

.switcher .option a {
color:#ccff33;
padding:3px 5px;
}

Thanks so much guys. I have managed to sort the colours.
However I still cannot find where to change the colour of the text in the 'Facebook Like Box' from grey to a more obvious colour.
Any ideas?
Sarah

Looks like that is a facebook app that is coming from another location so I don't think you'll be able to update the grey header on that box.
Maybe you can customize it on facebook?

Hi thanks for the response. I have found a few more instances of the grey text colour through other pages including this text:

Please select the preferred shipping methods to use on this order.

Any ideas on how to change this colour?

Post the url of the pages that you found so that I can also look at them... I don't want to go looking for them ;)
There is a div around the facebook block, before the iframe you've inserted.

You should style that with something like
background-color:#ffafd8; padding:15px 0;
This will give you a background for the entire block.

Looks like we're still looking at the same facebook box on the right hand side - it's on every page!

I think I know what happened here.
I put a item in the cart and sent you a link of 'step 2' of the sale.
I have now taken the item out of the cart so no link :-\

maybe I am just destined to have grey writing, lol.
