Replacing standard Product with PHP developed calculators

I have a very customized site Opencart v1.5.4 that was done by a developer who is subsequently AWOL. The site is a courier company, is extremely busy, and was developed in v1.5.4 and works great. The site is www.ic-express.co.za If you click on the Domestic option from the common-home, it will take you to a "product" page http://ic-express.co.za/index.php?route ... duct_id=54 , which is in essence a HTML/PHP/MYSql calculator that calculates weights/dimensions etc with input from an HTML form. You then select a service option and start the checkout process. The same with the International option.

My challenge is that the site is due for a refresh with added features, and with my very limited Opencart skills, I will redesign the site on v3.0.2. I have already written the HTML/PHP script for the domestic calculator, but need to now add it into a product, along with the other many features needed in the checkout process.
The site will only ever have two products, both of them being calculators, , the domestic and the international calculators, both using the same MYSql database but obviously different tables etc. but using a standard customer base, login etc. The international calculator is in development at the moment.
I need to know if this is the correct way to go about the project, i.e., having the calculators as products, and what the process and costs would be to, at this stage, for an experienced OC developer to add the domestic calculator into a product? or perhaps a module / product? ::)

The calculator can be seen at http://www.ic-express.co.za/betadomesti ... ulator.php

Just a further update - I am going to be completeing the 2nd calculator(product) and then re-submitting for quotes. There will be additional features requested. The re-submission will be in about two months time. Many thanks for all who have shown interest.
