Hi everyone,
I want to only sell to people in Australia, so I want to delete all other countries and geo-zones other than Australia and its geo-zones.

I tried deleting all the country entries except Australia but it still would not work.

You need to delete the zones first before you can delete the geo zones.
I did it the dirty way. I went into phpmyadmin and deleted all zones except for the 8 Australian states/territories
I then deleted all countries except for 13 which is Australia
PS: while you're at it, you might like to change Australian Capitol Territory to Australian Capital Territory

PPS: Also change your shipping settings from UK to Australia
