Anybody else experiencing problems uploading images?

Will not let me upload or change an existing image.

It its this very irritating if i want to delete an image but because it automatically assigns the first image to a category of which I have done 50 now, and didn't check image whilst I was doing it, it won't let me delete the frigging thing Arrrrgh. >:(  So can't change can't upload...

Oh and by the way yes, chmod image file ???

I'm going to look into this. I might need to change the upload class to delete files if they exists instead of replacing.

I got around it by deleting the original images images1-4 that came with install via php admin, after that the one image that did upload but wouldn't show, showed itself. I then tried again to add new images and it was okay they now uploaded.

Might be an idea when a new category is created that it doesn't automatically take the first image, rather none at all.  Just pain to fill out all information and upload images before hand, easier to do as the structure evolves. In my opinion anyway. ;) In fact would be great if you images could be uploaded when you wanted them, not in one mass before hand.  I often change images, and I have to consider what I have to do before hand, and it's so time consuming.

I've just released another version that should hopefully fix this.

Thank You Petal. :-*

Would I have to reinstall all? Or just change a few files?

I have acutally changed a few files.

You basicly need to replace the controller and module files that use images.

Have you done much modifcations on you store?

if no then just replace all the library, controller and extension files. Just remember not to write over your template files.

As yet no modification on tpl files, only database stuff such as adding categories and a few images, but I guess these won't be affected?

I'm experiencing a similar problem with the script that I just installed. It's the newest version, however - I cannot overwrite whatever is originally in the data field of the image upload.

It will say it's uploaded fine but the image filename and pic never actually changes.

I've been forced to delete the whole image and start fresh if I need to change anything - a little tiring.

PS: I love the suggestion of tying the images more into the products... I don't think my clients will be able to master this as easily others.
