Dear Team,
Would it be possible to create a country specific forum for South Africa perhaps under the Forum tree? Would like to create a single place for South African developers, service providers, commercial sites, and solution providers. We have been running our business on OpenCart for just over two years now, and it has been a steep and expensive learning curve without access to local specialists and solutions. Simple items such as local banking payment gateways, courier services & integration, etc ...

Well, I am not sure, if it makes much sense, to publish this here,
since changes need to be approved by the Master of the OC Universe
first (and only). You therefore better contact OC Headquarters directly
on such, I assume...
But you seem not to have been very busy around here during those 2 Years,
so, it's hard to guess, if such will be done...

Thanxs Ernie - been a steep learning curve, so have had to acquire many new skills over the last 2 years. I was not sure where to post my request, hope that OC HQ will pickup on it. Time to expand & localize our store, the idea is to build a "yellow page" for South African-based companies that specialise in OC and PHP so it's easier to find solutions. Still learning about all of these forum things ...

"yellow page" for South African-based companies
Well, I am not familiar with south african business culture and habits, but one
has to be aware of the fact, that Competition plays a major Role, when it
comes to 'solidarity', especially with something like Opencart. Most OC Users
come, take, and go, but they would never share something, eventually enabling
their own Competitors, to so generate more sales, or make daily OC-life easier.

But I don't plan to kill your imagination, it's just my very own impression, after
beeing around here for a while. But it takes a lot of motivation, or then a very
specific reason, to stay , for an extended period of time. At least, if one had
no immediate plans, to also generate additional income out of all those
Newbies, eager to get rich quick, likely for free, but mostly fully unfamiliar with
HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, DB's, Servers, or anything else, Knowledge - required,
to 'handle' OC, when it comes to any custom changes and/or modifications.

So, better just don't expect anything in return, whatever you do, then, you
never will be frustrated, if something does not work out, as planned. Just face
the reality or real life, despite of OC, beeing a 'virtual' Product and Scene. It's
still most all about hard cash ... :D
Good Luck! ;)
