I have been playing about with trying to make a mobile version of opencart, and will the alpha of jquerymobile released this weekend I had a little play with the UI.
Hopefully the markup it 1.5.0 will be VERY lean and no inline styles as I have had to change alot, but it looks quite promising.
IT IS VERY UNFINISHED but take a look here

it works in most browsers but obviously best on mobile devices.

Nice work, jquery mobile is going to really help with cross browser and cross device development.
If you need a hand with this just on me.
Cheers

Make sure you run it thru the W3C Mobile Validator. It will help with the bugs. I ran your link and it doesn't appear to be mobile friendly. Is that the correct theme that is up now?

Sorry,
Yes I've taken down the jquery mobile bit as been doing some more testing with it and altering the files.
I will revisit jquery mobile later as it doesn't play nice with the current url structure for shopping carts, related items, reviews and a few more things.
Hopefully get chance to work on a mobile version for opencart soon, but if anyone has some commercial projects that require mobile version, it will speed things up if Im getting paid for it
I have a project that will require mobile version but can't work on it until 1.5.0 is released due to requiring a few core features that are must on this project.

I am meeting tomorrow afternoon (Friday, Feb 25, 2011) with someone who may want to add a mobile version of the online store we are working on.
Am i right in thinking that i could go ahead with the the current vers and then bring in the mobile vers later without any issues with the online store?

I have not looked at the mobile jquery version mentioned above but ... essentially, a mobile version would mostly be a template that the mobile user is redirected to.
930sc ... because it is fun!
