Hi,

I hope someone will be able to help. I have downloaded what I beleive to be the latest version of this module 1.40 and I am trying to get it to work with OC version 1.47. I have muddled my way through, implementing the sql addition and uploading the files, being careful not to replace any existing files as this causes more problems. I can install the module in the admin interface but am unable to edit the settings because of the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function https() on a non-object in H:\xampp\htdocs\admin\controller\module\directory.php on line 43

Has anyone any suggestions or can someone guide me on how I can achieve another information style module.

Thanks

Some function calls were amended at v1.4.4, have a look at this thread and make the advised changes;

Thanks Mike,

Have gone through all of the files and made the necessary changes. I can now install the module and edit it's settings to enable it but the site now fails on the following:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Language::getId() in H:\xampp\htdocs\catalog\model\catalog\directory.php on line 10

I had a look at the code (no expert) and compared with syntax for same call on previous lines and cannot see anything obvious.

Regards
Chris

language id should now be called like this

Code: Select all

(int)$this->config->get('config_language_id')
that changed somewhere in the 1.4.0 timeframe I believe.

Perfect, Thank You.

Made a bit of a mistake by not installing all of the files but probably not a bad thing as I could go through the current files and add the relevant code from the files in the package which did not take too long.

Sorry folks, I've just been to busy to keep up with the version changes to OC.
Best I can do for you on this is to update this mod this weekend for 147.

Well good glad you got it worked out :)
Thanks for the offer of your files but it would be better I go in and do it and write a new Readme and SQL files.

Any chance you have this working for 1.47 yet? I tried to make it myself, but REALLY screwed things up. :) I'm NO programmer! :) Thanks!

Ok, I know I'm way behind... you have no idea ;)
But, I promise I'll port this over this weekend, I know I've said that before, but I will get it done for you.
Look for the download Monday on my website.

That would be MOST EXCELLENT. :) I downloaded the 1.4.0 version and read the upgrading 1.4.0 to 1.4.4 thread, but I'd much rather wait for someone that knows this stuff to do it.

So you know where I'm coming from, two months ago I was using FrontPage for my site, then I paid a kid to switch me over to Open Cart and make the theme the way I wanted it. I have since added the Import/Export Module and the pearl support from my host, so I'm learning new tricks, but the older I get, the slower I learn!! I still have an Apple ][+ at home!! And YES, it does still work. :p Hahahahahahaha With 64K extended memory and dual 5 1/4
