Hi there,
Thanks for creating this module - the idea is excellent! Will this release work with 1.2.9? I've had a bit of trouble with the 1.2.x version version of this mod - the buttons do not show up correctly
Buttons broken - FireShot capture #7 - 'Export _ Import'.png (2.01 KiB) Viewed 4224 times
Also, when hitting the export button, I get a slew of errors:
Code: Select all
Warning: set_time_limit() [function.set-time-limit]: Cannot set time limit in safe mode in /var/www/vhosts/*********************.co.nz/httpdocs/admin/controller/tool/export.php on line 61

(I've replaced the site name in the code above, as I don't want google to pick it up).
The above errors are then followed by an absolute heap of this:
Code: Select all
ࡱ; !" AB=%r8X"1Arial1Arial1Arial1Arial1Arial1Arial ######0.00##0.00
Could there be a conflict with the Backup / Restore module (that's not working either - same problems)? Regarding the button issue, I have checked that all images are in the correct place and the folder is readable etc.
What should I do? Feel free to move my post, if this is the wrong spot to ask...
Thanks for your time!
PS. I'm running PHP5 on a linux server.

This release will NOT work with 1.2.x versions of Opencart. If you use 1.2.x, get a
matching release of the Export/Import module for it!

The import/export and backup/restore buttons are broken on mine too (1.2.9). They were on the old release and the current one.
Also my backup function no longer works.. but not sure when this broke.

Just be sure, I did a fresh install of Opencart 1.3.0 and the Export/Import module from
here, and it works just fine. Tou should see something like this:
opencart-1-3-0-backup.png (25.84 KiB) Viewed 4204 times
opencart-1-3-0-export-import.png (25.63 KiB) Viewed 4204 times

Is there a working version for 1.2.9 that supports DBPREFIX?
I think I am using your version for 1.3.0 on a 1.2.9 installation and it appears to be working okay with DBPREFIX.
Also, a couple of questions :-
1) I cannot add new products by importing from the spreadsheet. It appears that if you leave the product id column blank, it does not get imported.
2) SEO tags - any reason why these can't be imported/exported in the same way for categories and products? Right now I have to flip between using the spreadsheet and manually editing each category in the UI.
Thanks!

Don't do it! Use the
matching version for 1.2.9 instead which includes support for the DB_PREFIX, too, and it won't break the buttons.
1) I cannot add new products by importing from the spreadsheet. It appears that if you leave the product id column blank, it does not get imported.
You have to specify your product_ids in the spreadsheet, otherwise it won't work.
2) SEO tags - any reason why these can't be imported/exported in the same way for categories and products? Right now I have to flip between using the spreadsheet and manually editing each category in the UI.
At the moment (as of the 1.3.0 version) the Export/Import only has the SEO_keyword supported for the products, not for the categories. However, I agree with you, it is a good idea to include support for the SEO_keyword for the categories, too, so I'll put it on my to-do list.
BTW.: As long as you don't change the category IDs, their SEO keywords should be preserved because their are in a separate DB table which the Export/Import doesn't touch at the moment.
There are few other things which I plan to add to the Export/Export, like the special prices, discounts, and related products, when I find the time.

Update: I have now added support for the category's SEO Keyword.

Hi
I have this installed but the spreadsheet it is exporting doesn't look right
When I try and open it it says the format is different than the specified extension
Any idea what could have gone wrong?
Thanks
Julie
(Edit - Just a note that I have office 07)

Use OpenOffice 3.x instead. Looks like MS Office has backward compatibility problems.
If anyone on this forum knows an
Open Document writer in PHP let me know, it would be useful in the long run to use that format rather than the proprietory MS format.

Hi JNeuhoff
I installed openoffice and that seemed to get rid of all the weird stuff
But it still has an error at the stop that seems to be stopping the rest of the file from working
The error is
Warning: tmpfile() has been disabled for security reasons in .../Worksheet.php on line 477
Thanks
Julie

This appears to be an issue with your webhost and its overly restritive PHP configuration. What is the URL of your Opencart server?

Open a
support ticket with your webhost and kindly ask them how to remove the
tmpfile function from the
disable_functions PHP setting.
