Looking for a script that can check external resource

Hi all,

For one of my sites im looking for a somewhat specific script/extension that can check for a valid cardnr on an external website. After the card has been confirmed as valid the customer has to be placed in a specific customer group to apply a discount.


The reason I need this script is quite simple, I have a buisiness deal with a company that has ~ 250k active members and that is a bit to much to do manually.


Is there anything out there that does this? or anything similar?

I'm running OC 1.5.1.3 but can adapt to any version required.

if your "external website" have an API, you can reach it by CURL, i think you need some custom module to do that. It's not difficult to make that modul

Thnx for ure reply, atm the other company is looking into it.
If not I might need to hire someone to help me out.
